USP Lending Library
USP's lending library has hundreds of textbooks students can borrow for the quarter (or longer). Do you need a book? We might have it! Follow the instruction below to learn how to view our inventory online and how to borrow a book from us.

Visit the USP Library Libib

Look at our selection of books.

Write down the book(s) you would like to place a hold on.

Visit our office in Costco Hall 224 to place a hold.

Please bring the name of the book(s) and your UCR email.

After this visit, you will have access to our library as a patron.

After becoming a patron, you can place holds on books online.

Wait for an email confirmation from Libib/USP to pick up your book(s).

Apply for the R'Book Program (Get textbooks!)
The R'Book Program is open to UCR students that demonstrate a financial need and an understanding/commitment to the needs of the undocumented immigrant population.
Students may list up to six books. If selected as a recipient, USP will purchase books from the bookstore, and students will receive a notification to pick up books from USP office. Additionally, all textbooks should be returned to USP's Lending Library at the end of the quarter/course series.
IMPORTANT: Book program will not cover book rentals, access codes, or digital books. We can only purchase textbooks available at UCR Barnes and Noble Bookstore.
Application Opens: Thursday, September 26th at 11:59pm
Priority Deadline: Sunday, September 29th at 11:59pm
Final Deadline: Tuesday, October 1st at 11:59pm
Book requests are approved on a first-come basis, student's financial need/eligibility, & funding availability.
The Chicano Student Programs Lending Library
In addition to USP book resources, students can use the Chicano Student Programs (CSP) Lending Library is located in the CSP office at 145 Costo Hall.
They also have a great selection of textbooks students may borrow through their Textbook Loan Program. See a list of CSP’s books.
