FAQ

Is traveling via plane within the US safe for students without DACA?
The risk of encountering immigration enforcement while traveling domestically is low but remains a real possibility. However, we do not want to foreclose opportunities to students and strongly advise that they consult with our attorneys before planning their domestic trip to understand general risks and any heightened risks in their specific case.
Lastly, try to avoid the 100-mile radius of international borders.

Can I travel to Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory, not a U.S. State. Travel to a U.S. state (domestic trip) and a U.S. Territory is different. Traveling to the U.S. Territories without DACA, even though a person has never technically left the U.S., could result in a referral to ICE for removal.
