California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program (DSIG)

 

The California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant (DSIG) is a program that awards qualifying California Dream Act Applicants (CADAA) up to $4,500 per academic year for performing 300 hours of community or volunteer service.

Eligibility to Apply:
  • Applied for CADAA (CA Dream Act App.) for 2023-2024.
  • Have an active Cal Grant B award but extends eligibility to CADAA students with a Cal Grant A award that met Cal Grant B eligibility. (UCR students will know if they are eligible if they see "DSIG Award estimate" on their award letter via rweb)
  • Have Sufficient Unmet Need. (Determined by the CSAC and UCR campus financial aid office)
  • Volunteer with a university/department or at a qualifying organization/s.

 

How to Apply (for UCR students): 
  1. Complete the "DSIG Financial Aid Signature Request Microsoft Form"
    • If you are eligible, you will see the "DSIG Financial Aid Signature Request Microsoft Form" on your web account.

  2. You will receive a DocuSign request from financial aid to complete Section 1 & Section 4. 
    • Financial aid will complete Section 2 via Docusign. 
  3. Download the completed form via DocuSign.
  4. Have your qualifying organization or department complete section 3. 
  5. Email the completed form to dsig@csac.ca.gov
  6. You will be notified via email by CSAC when (and if) you are registered into the program.
